E-cam or F-cam

hey all i am thinking about changing my cam from the current e-cam to a f-cam. My mods are a b and g turbo kit featuring a 70mm turbo with a .81 a/r put on a 306 bottom end with forged pistons and all arp fasteners. stock gt-40 heads with a ported lower cobra intake. 70 mm throttle body. currently i have a e cam with 1.6s and thinking about doing a f-cam to better benifit the turbo setup. Oh also my piston have plently of valve clearence and i have good springs up to .530 lift and cromemoly retainers. also i have not installed the turbo yet. I am also trying to see what rwhp i should put out with 10 pounds on a conservitive tune. thx

New Setup: 5.0 Coyote Swap, LTs, JLT, Tune. 435 rwhp 419 rwtq. 11.365 @ 121mph on NT05.

Old Setup: 306 forged bottom end, stock gt40 heads, 1.7s stock cobra intake, e- cam and bolt ons 275rwhp and 315 rwtq on a break in tune

I have been doing a TON of research on this subject and unfortunately its not very clear.
However most of the turbo guys LOVE the F-Cam.

They will tell you however that the e-cam or a stock cam is capable of making more then enough power to break a stock block.
Personally I ended up going with a Trick Flow Stage 1

Been out of the game since 2011.. looking to get back in in 2019

I run an e-cam with 1.6's in mine and it works great! If you are running a stock block and already have the e-cam I would just leave it. You can make more then enough power with it.

I've got an X-cam on mine. I've never had it dyno'd but it consistently runs 127-129mph on 8-9psi.
