Question Manual Boost Controller Help Anyone?

I recently bought a Cartech SS kit for my fox. I was originally running a Novi 1000 at 10psi and it help up great. The Cartech kit I have is supposed to make 15psi. I have a stock block H/C/I 302, in sig(I also have Cometic gaskets if it matters), and I'm wanting to turn down the boost to around 8-10 to give me some peace of mind when I get into it. I dont want to blow the stock block to a thousand peices just yet. I have BMC to mess around with to see if I can turn the boost down. I searched everywhere and some say you can turn boost down and others say you can only turn boost up. Anyone know? If so how?
If I cant turn the boost down what's the chance my motor will last at 15psi untuned?
I need to know something soon, I'd like to have it running tomorrow.
Thanks for any input

Here's the kind of MBC I have:

You need a softer spring in the wastegate. Some people have been known to cut the existing spring to get the boost you want. (The spring is in the top part of the WG by the way.)

I have been told yes. I never have had to do it. The WG manufacturer should be able to get you a 6lb spring. You may be able to take yours out and find something local that will fit. Make sure it is lighter pressure.

Thats what im thinkin. Held great at 10psi though!

Would i keep cutting the spring little by little to get the desired boost? Would I need any gaskets to put the WG back together? Sorta new to the turbo scene if you cant tell.

It would be better to just purchase a new spring for the desired boost level. They are for the most part around $30. But my opinion is only .02

I have a few springs for that gate sitting in the tool box. let me know which one you want and I prolly have it. I dont need it so I would let it go cheap and its NEW.

NEVER do business with Sam Rivera AKA Sam Wilson.
