Need cold-side idea's / help here

Alright now,

I am currently trying to get my Cartech SS T-64 kit together for my 95 Cobra.

I was looking at all my cold side stuff and well, it just looks like crap. I want to re-do everything since I am switching from the Cartech way of a draw-thru maf to a blow-thru maf and once again it just looks like crap to me. I can't seem to figure out why my cold side isn't the same size as the intercooler in and out tubes. It makes zero sense to me. Not to mention in Cartechs instructions it says that I should have a 3" downpipe but umm nope definitely not. There are welds all over the tubes that confuse the hell out of me too.

So, I am going to do it again. I kinda have a rough idea as to what I want to so I'll bounce it off you guys.

I measured everything today and this is what I got, intercooler is 2" in and out, turbo outlet is 2", Maf is 3" pmas guy, stock Cobra TB so it is pretty much 2 1/2". I am trying to think of what tubing to use and how to get it all together to work well.

Right now I am thinking of 2" from turbo to IC, IC outlet using 2 1/4" with bump up from IC, then a bump up coupler to the maf which is 3", then bump down to 2 1/2" to the throttle body.

I realize that I will have to put a new BOV flange on the new tubing and such. and will have to do other things that I can't think of right now but hey, if people don't learn then they can't teach others.

I was also thinking that once I get the sizes and such that would work the best then I could just bring the old stuff into a shop and have them bend the new stuff to the same as the old.

I went 2.5 from turbo to IC and used a reducer to go from 2.5 to 3in from IC to TB

I was told to have NO bends before or after the MAF for as long as possible and not to use reducers to connect maf..... keep pipe same size as maf. I ended up with 2ft with no bends and put the PMAS maf dead in the middle. seems to have worked out really well for me.


I would run 2 from turbo to IC and get a 2-3 reducer and run 3 in from IC to throttle body. summit has them. here is a link to a few.. I think they have 90* elbow reducers too.
