BG T70 air filter?

I know I can put a screen in it, but I want to know what people are doing about a filter. I'd like to cut out the right side of the headlight access hole and squeeze in a long 4" 45* silicone elbow (about 12" legs), but I am afraid of messing up the integrity of the support. Any ideas? I know there is a mushroom filter out there by HKS, but I haven't seen anyone actually using it...just a few people suggesting that it MIGHT work.
Thanks in advance,
Jesse

you will need a filter with a 4'' inlet and about 3'' long i got mine off of ebay. you can try that . if you find a mushroom one just make sure it has a 4'' inch inlet and you will be fine because they are small

I trimmed out behind the headlight on my 89 LX vert. made just enough room to use a S+B 7" long filter. (can't remember the part number) Tight enough I have to install the filter then plug the headlight bulb back in. Works great though. That tiny filter than comes with the kit is a joke.

Comes with the kit?

I ordered the short one from Summit for my B&G kit. Where'd you get that blanket?

90 notch

Excuse me, ma'am, do you think this rag smells like chloroform?

Yes,if you look on B+G's website they list it in the kit contents.

Got the blanket from an individual. I 2nd VSRacing on turbomustangs as a source for them though. Pretty good to deal with.

Weird, I didn't get one. Oh well, one missing part out of all that and for the price I got is not a concern of mine.

Def no big deal when it's a part that you would've wanted to replace anyways.
B+G's kits are great for the money.

Turns out my 4" elbow wouldn't fit even after I trimmed the fenderwell some, so I took off the front clip and put a short filter on...the only way to get it on is to take off the front clip...
