Quick SCT usage question...

Hi,

I'm looking at using an SCT tuner to disable PATS on a Cobra ECU. This way, I can use the Cobra ECU and Cobra harness on a Lincoln 4.6 DOHC motor. Does the SCT need to be connected all the time? Or do I use it to re-program the ECU, then disconnect it and the ECU will hold the changes?

Thanks,
-Neil.

It flashes the computer and is then removed from the car.

I believe the light will still flash, however.

Gotcha. This is going in a Fox coupe, so no lights around. I won't be using any Ford instrumentation, etc.

Cheers,
-Neil.
