What temp T-Stat should I be running?

I am going to change the T-Stat on my 03 GT, Procharged at 8Lbs. I believe the stock one is 192 and I have not removed it yet to see what one was in it. Should I run a cooler one? Will be doing this when I replace the rad, removing the stock one and putting something with more cooling capacity also.

I run a 170 t-stat on my supercharged 4V. Low speed fan comes on at 175 off at 165. High speed fan set to kick in at 195 and off at 175. I don't ever run hot, even sitting in traffic in the Texas heat.

your fan turns off below the stat rating?

why is that?

I'd have to ask the tuner. I just went through the software and that's what it is showing.

leave the stock one in

you can have a tuner lower the fan settings a bit

the stat maintains the min temp, the fans are for the max temp
