Speaking of keeping things cooler - added an additional 15k AC to our camper. I now have double the cooling power. Will come in handy at the beach in June. Cut one 14x14 hole in roof and same in ceiling. Box was already built (2nd AC prep from factory). Literally four bolts to hold it in place. Half day easy instal.

Now to pull fan motor on the other unit - it’s making noise. Around 100 bucks for new one and simple remove and replace. I’ll get the other rebuilt and keep as a spare.

Still running four to six window stickers per week. Terminator guys are hitting me hard right now. Fine by me, terminators literally take me 5-10 minutes tops.

I spend about half my time “advertising” on various Facebook groups. So much easier than how I used to do it on forums.

Great little thing you have going on. Fun I’ll bet.

Droppped my coupe quarter windows at Fox Mustang Restirations in Charlotte yesterday. I should get them back with fresh rubber and polished glass in 5-6 weeks.

They needed help badly- rubber was krispy and Kracked... I pulled the headliner down and am getting that redone as well. Then maybe new LG1 seats tbd.

Spring is here, most people are out enjoying the better weather.

BTW, there was no convertible Saleen Mustang was there, just hatch backs? I walked by a black convertible today, with the 88-93 front end. It had both bumpers, and Cobra R wheels. It's in a customer's driveway, I've rarely spoken to them.

Thanks Michael that’s be awesome. Not sure. I was at Mallard Creek Polymers making up my secret sauce for Rapid Cast. I’d forgotten you live there! I like the area/ plenty to do yet quickly you can be outside of it all and get rural.

I’ll remember to holler if I get back down again.

Where do you live? We occasionally get together but it’s been a few years as we are spread out now. A good car meet would be great again. I no longer get crazy on the streets, for me that was 30 years and a handful of tickets ago. I eventually learned its best for the track.

Agreed on the track stuff. Older and smarter now.

You’ll like this Michael - my first foray into other brands window sticker. Specifically a 2008 Pontiac G8. Quoted a guy $125 and he didn’t blink. Over double my normal rate, and probably will never do one again. I’ll probably have an hour to hour and a half in it.

Current customer with an o4 cobra asked and I figured I’d look into it.

Seems like a pretty good margin Richard. Got a buddy who bought out a big lot of vintage british car parts mostly Jag and started an online business to liquidate them. First sale was a used Jag XK-E brake fluid reservoir cap with fill-float. Couldn’t find a comp anywhere - so when a new contact asked the price he quoted him $300. Bought it without a blink. Unobtainium - not being reman’d and virtually no used ones available.

Did you learn enough on the G8 to do another more quickly?

Possibly. I think they had very few options. Two or three. This was a GXP trim so top of the line. When I first start on them, I rely on the customer heavily to get me up to speed. No one knows their car as well as the owner.

I’ll be shocked if anyone else comes, but then again I never thought I’d do a couple dozen marauders at 65 each (at the time, a $16 premium over mustangs. All because one guy wouldn’t take no for an answer. Lol

Haven’t done it yet, lol. But I’ll be starting before long. I’ve got a good sample to work from. I have actual dimensions. Fonts will be easy to match. Have a fuel pump symbol and couple other logos to build.

He’s sending me vin and such tomorrow.

Nothing screams the 70’s like that car does.

I imagine. demand isn’t too high for those. Certainly unique for sure.

Actually, among the cult following they have, demand is pretty good. Especially for one like his that's had all the big systems gone through by the best Citroen guy in the country - Dave Burnham up in New England. Including full overhaul of the DOHC Maserati V6. But - until the bidding is through, you never know. If two people are seriously in buy mode - could go into the $50-80k range. And if two people aren't interested, it may not sell this time. We will see.

Just watched the suspension video. Didn’t realize it was air operated and ride height adjustable. That’s pretty cool.

It's not air operated. Hydro-pneumatic. 2000 psig hydraulic pump operates power steering, brakes and suspension. You haven't experienced a "suspension" until you're ridden in a Citroen. I'd describe it - but you wouldn't believe it. LOL! WAY, WAY ahead of it's time. If you looked at the pictures under the hood you'd see big, green spheres -- those are the magic behind the suspension. Has a bladder in it that separates the air in the system from the green hydraulic fluid. Pretty dang slick.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydr...tic_suspension

The wiki is pretty good. I’ve been in Citroens hitting a speed bump at 10-15 mph and driven up on the sidewalk (over the curb) - you can’t feel it inside the car. You hear it and the steering wheel tells you something changed, but you feel virtually nothing. It is bizarre and weird in the best possible way. Also, virtually no body roll - the hydraulics take care of that.

Brake pedal is a round “button” on the floor. The more pressure you apply, the more brake you get...but the button doesn’t move like a pedal does.

Serviced the axles on the camper. Not a lot of fun on a 10,000# unit on gravel. At least it was shady.

All was good, lubed up with fresh grease, and reassemble. Good for another 3-4 years.

Would almost be worth it to let a shop do it, but I have a hard time trusting anyone working on anything of mine. Anyone else?

No shops have my trust. Too many times, too much crap. While I may not be quite as quick - I'm better than anyone I could take it to. Jean's Subie just got recalled for a replacement brake light switch. It KILLS me to have to take it to the dealer for that. Exploring if I can change it myself....

No shops have my trust. Too many times, too much crap. While I may not be quite as quick - I'm better than anyone I could take it to. Jean's Subie just got recalled for a replacement brake light switch. It KILLS me to have to take it to the dealer for that. Exploring if I can change it myself....

Ditto, I do everything I can if I have time for it.

I'm going to be needing about four and maybe five 4R70W transmissions built in the next year or two. I'm just now doing my 5R55E that's in my 99 truck, which I've never rebuilt before. I hate to think of what it would cost to pay someone to do that much serious work for me. I'm collecting a few more parts for two 4R's now, and look forward to building one again. It's been about 19 years since I built a trans, wow time flies too fast.

Looks like Jean’s Subie already has the upgraded switch in it.... blue instead of grey. Confirm with dealer.

I should go buy a lotto ticket. Why? Because I’ve got recall work to have done on all four vehicles. Both trucks, daughter’s focus, and our sonata.

Trucks are having the transmission downshift recall/reprogram done.
Focus having a fuel tank expansion valve replaced so the tank doesn’t collapse on itself due to vacuum
Sonata having reprogram done to address possible wear issues

Scheduled out for the next month lol. Thankfully I have a driver out of school for next couple weeks till his job at ORNL starts.

For Sale: Reproduction Window Stickers, 87+ Mustangs, Cobras, Lightnings, and HD F150!
