3.8 V6 Head Gaskets ...

Am building a nice little 3.8 for the street. CR will be about 10.5:1. Are there any "better than OE" head gaskets out there? Or are the Ford head gaskets as good as they get?

'98 GT equipped w/Koni, Eibach, Cobra R rims w/Yokohama tires, Cobra brakes all around & 3.73 gears. Also a Boss330 4.6 Cobra block w/PI heads & stuff from Accufab, ARP, Centerforce, Comp Cams, Fidanza, K&N, Mahle, Manley & Borla exhaust w/Mac Pro Chamber thrown in for grins & giggles.

I think they sold a slightly stronger gasket set for the years afflicted with the notorious head gasket problem. I think it might have been felpro's set, but don't quote me on that

2002 Mineral grey GT 5 speed. Flowmaster 40's catback, Mach 1 grille delete, timing advance, push button starter, Bullitt pedals, FR500 steering wheel, K&N FIPK, Self ported upper intake w/ spacer, Pioneer Avic D3, MGW shifter, MM FL subframe connectors, Mach 1 springs, Bilstein HD struts/springs

Tom at Super Six ...

Took your advice & spoke w/Tom at Super Six. Very pleasant gentleman & got more info from him than anyone else I have spoken with over the last year (including FRPP, Livernois, Tom Morana & others). FYI, He said that the '99+ OE head gaskets are as good as anything out there. The later gaskets seem to have corrected the issues w/the early head gaskets. Thank you, gentlemen.

I have known Tom for over seven years. I see him at least once a year.

Typical 97 vert with 8-point roll bar.
