98 v6 wont start.. security light flashing?? reset?

i was curious how you could reset the security on it? most cars you put the key in the drivers door or in the ignition and it will reset it.. i didnt know if fords were like this or not... any suggestions? its acting like the fuel pump.. sprayed starting fluid in it and it fired off..

My daughters '98 mustang is funky with the alarm system. You have to push the unlock button on the remote before attempting to start it. Don't know if that's part of your problem or not.

it only bypasses the starter, once you 'unbypass it' that light can flash forever without impact.

faster? Hell, I just want to get it to start!
