"best" is all relative for what you want to do, like low end torque for the street or big turbo setup for top, low compression for a power adder end ect. After you decide what you need from the motor, then you can decide on what to get and how to fit it.

either a tbird supercoupe 3.8 with an eaton on top, you need dual exhaust though, or, a ford f150 4.2 V6, you will have to reuse your stock 3.8 upper intake manifold though

Will a 91 supercharged T-bird motor bolt right into a 97 V6 mustang? Will I need to do anything else to get everything to work?

Thanks, I am new to the V6 mustang world.

rpm-mustangs . com sells engines that may be worth lookin at. They have 3.8s and 4.2 strokers with or without forged internals. If i were going to turn my sixxer into a big project, i would probably start here.

it will need to be tuned, might need the computer, and just very small things will be needed, but yes, its a easier swap then a 4.6/5.0 swap
