Turbo 99 V6

My brother is thinking about putting a turbo on his mustang. What kind of rwhp levels will the stock internals hold? Will it hold 350rwhp???

Thanks

Dont think of it as how much horsepower. think of it as amount of boost keep it at 12psi at the most and youll be fine. dont foreget the new injectors, maf, and fuel pump and a good tune.. Justin on v6power.net has a stock junkyard engine he is running 17psi and made 450rwhp with a really really good tune he tunes so he keeps up on his car.(the 450 and 17psi was on race gas) i belive he runs it at 14 on 93 also

keep the car around 11-12psi and youll be fine. . also monoxide also built a custom turbo using the hy35 off a cummins and at 10psi made 323rwhp so 11-12 will get u near 350 depending on tranny ect but both of these guys are on an auto

Sorry but you're dead wrong. Boost pressure is worthless when talking about stress put on a motor. 12 psi from a 50-trim TO4E is not going to blow up a stock motor. 12 psi from a PT88 will make a lot more power, and might blow it up.

talk to andy at tma turbo, a properly tune 14 psi turbo set up will be fine on the stock interanls with a good tune.

some 8.5:1 ross with some eagal rods and a f150 crank, with some ported heads and a big cam would be a real fun car,
