Angry valve tapping???

a lifter sticking? try taking off the oil filter (just the filter) and drain it, reinsall it and top off the oil with some ATF tranny fluid, then fill up with either shell v power or chevron gas (with techron) and run it, it should go away in a bit

Don't run transmission fluid in your engine for very long. If you don't feel safe putting transmission fluid in your crankcase, try an engine treatment like seafoam. I've used it and it works very well. Drive it for an hour or so, then drain it. Do it right before an oil change so you don't waste money as well.

Check your exhaust manifold for a leak on the passenger side. I have run in to two with exhaust leaks that sound just like a lifter, and one broken exhaust spring. Ford knows that have a problem, but on recall so far. Good Luck.
