GT 8.8 swap in a 99

Anyone ever swaped out an 8.8 from a GT in their V6? did it help out any? My girlfriend has a 99 V6 and i have a rear end from a 99 GT thats why i ask

u get the tlok,lil extra weight. so more traction nomore 1 wheel peel.

the same.they changed for the mach 1 only for those years or the 03/04 cobra but thats an irs rear. gt and v6 has same gears 99-04

Its ONLY worth it if you are going to modify the car for more power... OR if you like to dump your clutch at every red light.

I have a 99 V6 that I had 4.10's and tlok installed and 2 weeks later I shattered the ring gear.

I found a 8.8 from a 00GT and popped it right in (EASY).....

Now I have a GT stock tlok which is just fine for my modded V6.

now I just have to throw gears back in her.
