will this work

can you fit a 99-04 3.8 or 3.9 in a 1998 with out any major fabrication

1995 gt - bbk shorties, u/d pullies, cai, and mac catback, bbk o/r h-pipe, msd blaster coil, frpp 9mm plug wires and 200,000 miles
Last seasons best run: 14.6699 at 95.3 mph

Sure, but its easier to just swap the Splitport (99-04) Heads, intake, TB, etc...

Yes. It'd be worth it especially if the 99-04 motor had considerably less miles. You'll need to extend some wires on your cars harness and get a modified fuel rail that you can get from a few people on v6power.net/vb. If you need a modded fuel rail go there in the wanted section and request a fuel rail.
