So I disconnected the plug to the CMP on my 1994 3.8...

And absolutely nothing happened.

Thats right, NOTHING happened. No codes, No pending codes, and no change in performance. How the hell is the car managing the injectors with out the camshaft position sensor? I've had this long running idle miss/rough idle with this car. Is the computer defective? Also, when put an off road H on the car I never got a CEL either. Code scanner pulled no codes. And unless the previous owner put some uber custom tune into this 3.8 before I got it and the dealer didn't notice...I'd say some wierd **** is going on.

Your sure the light is working right? Also check behind the kickpanel on the passenger side to see if a chip is installed. Is the car completely stock? If it is I doubt there's a chip.

Yes I'm sure the light works. The code scanner didn't even pick up anything and I'm pretty sure there is no chip.

Ok....

for the next trick...

I was working on my exhaust and forgot to plug in one of my o2 sensors that is on the driver side collector.(the main front o2) I just happened to notice after about 50 or 60 miles.

Guess what...No codes what so ever.
