Adding a subwoofer with the mach 460?

So I decided to add a 12" sub to my stock stereo. The bass just isn't there. The system is all custom. I have built the best box ever to fit the convertible mustang which takes up a lot of space, however still leaves convertible lovers with some room. The speaker i chose is 1 12" audiobahn, with the A8000T maching amplifier. I have never done this before but am going to use the stock head unit and just connect a line output adapter to one of the back speakers. Doesn't look hard or anything, however I want to know if any one out here has done this before? If so how does it sound?
Thanks
J.
