Did the 1984, 1985 & 1986 Mustang w/3.8L V6 come w/a 5-spd? Or was the 4-spd the only available manual transmission w/that engine option?

'98 GT equipped w/Koni, Eibach, Cobra R rims w/Yokohama tires, Cobra brakes all around & 3.73 gears. Also a Boss330 4.6 Cobra block w/PI heads & stuff from Accufab, ARP, Centerforce, Comp Cams, Fidanza, K&N, Mahle, Manley & Borla exhaust w/Mac Pro Chamber thrown in for grins & giggles.

If your planing on keeping the car put a turbo from TMA on it or a blower, I run a Procharger on mine.

Long tube headers made the single biggest improvement to my car. But my car does not see the street it is trailered to the track. So its open headers at this piont. But I did have 3" pipes to race mufflers when I ran the car in sportsman class. Know I run pro so off with the exhaust. The cars best time was 11.96 @ 114. On the Dyno the car was making 330hp with 487lbs of torque that's with a 130 shoot of nitrous at the axle. That was with the T5 trans which I replaced with a C4 after I broke it the 4th time.lol The Dyno numbers went down a bit with the C4 but the Et is just about the same. Pm me if you want more info.

Remove....V6

Install.......any V-8 with a good set of heads.

Honestly.....if you want to go as fast as a Lear Jet, you don't start off with a Cessna 172 and try and make it faster.

If it were me, I'd stick a nice 75shot of nitrous on it and see how long it lasts. Then when it blows up, you have an excuse to put a real engine in it .

I have been hitting my stock bottom end 3.8 with a 130 shot to the axle on the dyno know for fives years. Must be making at least a hundred passes a year and it is still going strong.
