Engine Vibration

Hey Guys hoping you can help me ...I have a 2000 V6 (135,000 miles)

The engine is Vibrating a bit and it's particularly noticeable after 1000 RPM

I changed the Oil and it helped ...barely ... I looked at the Motor mounts

and they seem ok as far as I can tell anyhow... the transmission mount how ever

is shot!! How can I tell if in fact I need new motor mounts? Perhaps a

balancer?... if so how can I tell? The car has plenty of

power... but I am kinda at a loss..

Should I just replace the tranny mount?

how are the u joints? the motor mounts, put in gear with hood open, see if engine moves(you may need a buddys help). or try to rock it by hand. the tranny mount, loosen it up and jack the trans up. try to slip it out.

I work in a body shop and we had a car that had a vibration issue, finally figured out it was the tranny mount was tweaked and making metal to metal contact. If yours are shot, I would start there.
