Need some opinions

Been a while since Ive posted but I know Ive come to the right place.

Ive had my six slug daily driver for well over 7 years now and its pushing the 90,000 mile mark. Now dont get me wrong she still runs and looks great! Everything works and has cold A/C. Its got a small oil leak but I already looked under and it seems minor. Rear main seal Im guessing.

Ive been debating lately on what to do. Trade it in and get something else or fix her up and keep her running. I figure with about 2gs I can really do alot. Get the oil leak taken care of, new shocks and struts, a complete go through of the engine and maybe even have enough left over for some new wheels and tires.

That just simply sounds better than getting myself into a new car payment, being that the car has been paid off for some time now. Its nice not having car payments. But is it worth it? I know its a debatable question but just looking for some opinions.

i have a vortech powered six shooter that is my daily and i love it. i just resealed the whole motor for 300 bucks all felpro just by a head set and a oil pan gasket, pull the motor i had mine done in 2 days.. you will need new head bolts if you wanted to replace the head gaskets. the rear main i would suggest you use an installer other wiswe it wont seat right. i did it 2 times becasue i didnt use the installer the first time. throw some eibach pro kit springs gas shocks and struts and enjoy...mabey some wheels and tires to go with a lower profile. like a 17 or 18 inch wheel. id keep it. my 2 cents.

Thanks justasix04

Appreciate you takin the time to respond. Sounds like a plan to me. Ive actually got a real good mechanic who does all the heavy duty work on my 93 5.0 says he wont mind doing the work for me at a reasonable price. Beats having to get my knuckles bloody and my best friend has my cherry picker so dropping the engine in the garage is outta the question!

Hows that turbo working out for you? Sounds like a lot of fun! Have you had the car dyno'd?
