Anyone ever stuck a GT cluster into a v6?
I was curious about this even though its not really needed. Here's the reason why. about 9 years ago when I got my '95 v6, I put in the Mac white face gauge kit and of course the needles weren't placed exactly where they were before th conversion so a few of the gauge readings are off,......specifically the temperature gauge. Now this v6 has 194,000+ miles on it and the temp gauge reads in the "MA" range during the summer and the odometer doesn't work (I know about replacing the little black gear). I've changed the thermostat and coolant but didn't flush the radiator. The thermostat was replaced with a 180 unit instead of the factory 193 degree stat. Basically I'd like to go back to the black face gauges without removing the needles....so just replace the entire cluster so I can see where the needle would sit with a factory temperature calibration. I got a good price at $25 for a complete cluster so I figured it might be worth it.
