JBA Long Tube Headers

JBA Long Tube Headers
2005 Mustang GT

The new Ford Mustang is the most anticipated vehicle of 2005. All of the articles, car shows, and sneak peaks have put the new car in high demand. With 300hp on tap and an improved suspension to help get the power to the ground, the new Mustang is a runner! Given JBA's roots and long standing history as a leader in Mustang performance - we had our sights set on developing performance exhaust products for America's favorite new hot rod long before it hit dealer show rooms. At the 2004 SEMA show in Las Vegas JBA unveiled the first complete exhaust packages for the ā€˜05 Mustang including new long tube headers, smog legal Cat4wardĀ® headers, H-pipes and after-cat exhaust systems. With these precision made components you will see gains of 23.4 HP / 28.3 lb.ft. at the tires.

JBA dominated the 2004 SEMA show with the industry's first long tube header and exhaust package for the ā€˜05 Mustang GT. Crowds of Mustang enthusiasts filled the JBA exhibit to see these exciting new products. These new headers take full advantage of the redesigned chassis and new engine. The trick "D" port aluminum heads on the 4.6L 3v can breathe easier through JBA's 1.625" mandrel-bent stainless steel primaries freeing up massive amounts of horsepower and torque. JBA's one-piece .375" CNC laser-cut flanges make a tight and durable seal for trouble-free performance. The pipes terminate in a 9" long collector that houses JBA's patented FireconeĀ® merge device for enhanced scavenging of exhaust gasses. These headers fit perfectly inside the frame with no loss in ground clearance.

On the 05 Mustang there is plenty of room between the k-member and the heads. Install isn't that bad.

Just curious. So how is the install? Is it easier to drop the K or can they be put on with everything in place?

Install is not thant bad, you may have to dis connect the steering shaft and lift the motor slightly. other than that not bad; compared to 99-04 header install.
