05-06 4.6 block

Looking for a bare block. Must be 05-06 only i was told. Let me know what you have or who has the best deal on a new one. Thanks Nick

* I think the blocks are cast iron instead of aluminum like the earlier 4.6 blocks. Atleast that is what I was told.*

05 and up are aluminum buddy. If you want iron get a 03-04 cobra block.

Hmmm ok then apparently I have an older block in the car cause it is an iron block and has iron main caps. I was told different by someone else at livernois, that it was the other way around and 03-04 cobra motors were aluminum and 05-06 blocks were cast iron.. Thanks for clearing that up for me...

Yea sometimes you get someone that dont know what they are talking about. I know for a fact that the motor in my 05 in a iron block. Thanks for the heads up!!

Its not the stock motor that was in there. Thats what I used when I built the stroker. But when I called they told me all 05's come with iron blocks thats why I was confused..

Idiots lol. It is common to use iron cobra blocks for builds of looking for max strength or a few $$$ saved
