2014 5.0 6 speed Driveability Problem

I'm trying to figure out a drive ability problem on this car. It's showing no codes except for P1703 which is Brake switch out of self test range. It's got 14,500 miles on it. Only modification is Roush Mufflers.

The problem is seems that the clutch is all or nothing. It will fall on it's face right off idle when taking off unless it's revved up a little. Taking Traction Control off doesn't help. The mileage is decreasing a little every tank but I'm not sure by how much.

A couple of things I thought about trying it an air filter which I don't think it's ever been changed. And a fuel filter. But the Owners Manual says it's a "self cleaning", never need changing filter. Which I don't really see how that could be possible. The last thing I thought about was cleaning the Mass Air meter.

Any ideas? Anyone else encounter anything like this?

hook up a scan tool, look at

Maf
fuel trims
02 voltages

real time logging, you should find the issue pretty easily

Thanks Indy. I ran several tests through ForScan but it passed all of the tests. The gauge cluster has an option to show the A/F ratio and it seems to run about a half point too rich.

Which scan tool would you recommend?

you cannot make a call on the a/f you see if you dont see the commanded a/f

so ignore that

get the best scan tool you can afford

every person that really works on their own car should have one

Ah, that makes sense. I always forget about commanded versus what's showing. Thanks Indy.
