SN 95 Cobra steering racks for Foxes.

Who sells new '03/04 Cobra steering racks besides Ford and for how much? Has anybody put one in a Fox lately? Any issues?
I'd prefer the higher effort '00 Cobra rack but from all accounts they are unobtainium. Any truth to this?
TIA

I've heard that those Cobra racks are hard to come by and are $$$ when you do. I just installed an AGR P/S rack and like it a lot so far. A little more effort than stock and looks to be well put together. www.agrperformance.com

This may not be exactly the answer you're looking for but I haven't found anywhere that is cheaper than this place for OEM stuff. Good service, in my experience.

I picked up an '03 rack from PPI www.performancepartsinc.com probably about 6 months ago. I bought it because they supposedly were going to be hard to come by. Haven't installed it yet, hopefully I'll manage to get around to that project this winter/spring.

'89 GT convertible, N/A 357W, MM front susp w/425# coil-overs and Koni D/As, MM TA/PB rear setup (Koni Yellows, 390-430# springs), Stoptech 332mm / 12" Baers, MM 6 point rollbar, Maier 1.5" flared fenders & quarters, 18x9.5" front/18x10.5" rear Enkei RPF-1s (street), 18x10" CCW C-10s (track), etc...

I put one in my 82GT a couple years back, its really not that big of a deal. I don't have time to outline all the lessons learned at the moment, but if you search corner carvers by screen names Toys or Tob, you'll find some good tech.

Whoa!!
$370 for a 2003 Cobra rack from PPI is a bit steep.
Can't find one through National Parts.
Tried emailing Diversified for a quote but they didn't get back to me.
Any other options??

I picked up mine from Blue Oval industry.
I think it was 179.00
I remember calling Diversified and they didn't have any at the time.

Email National Auto Parts Distributors if you haven't. The search engines the OEM parts places use aren't the best.

This is ridiculous!!

Blue Oval doesn't sell them anymore..
FordOEMparts.com/PPI/NAPD wants $370 for them..
Diversified won't answer the phone or return e-mails..

I wouldn't be so bent outta shape if I didn't hear of people buying them as recently as 4 months ago for $160 + shipping. I really want one of these racks but I'm not prepared to be bent over a barrel for one either.

When I talked to Diversified, they told me they where selling them cheap like that because they got them cheap.
I mean, when Ford changed the body style in 05. Non of the components from an 04 would fit the newer 05. So what ever stock they had left they sold cheap to other Ford distributer's.
