what x pipe will clear Griggs torque arm on `98 gt

When I had the complete GR-40 rear installed on my car they cut/welded the stock exhaust`s "H" croossover to move it forward of the torque arm.
I want to get a new catted "X" pipe. What brand will clear the T?A without the cutting mod?

I think Bassani makes one specifically to clear the Griggs stuff, although now that I think about it I believe that was for Fox cars. Might work on yours, I dunno.

Dr Gas should clear it. But they dont make a catted pipe. Now, you can always have a set welded into the pipe, but I'm not sure it would be legal to the fullest letter of the law in your area. Typically the cats have to come before any crossover point in the pipe to be "smog-legal".

Thank but As I said the stock "H" pipe was cut and welded to clear the T/A. It passes emissions in Maryland with no problems. I just dont want to buy a perfectly good "X" pipe just to have it cut up is all. Must have it catted. Anyone else?

X pipe

I got a Pypes True X for my fox to clear the MM Torque arm and mate up to my bbk longs. It had the ball and socket joints welded to 4 individual 6" extensions so the installer could position the pipe forward or aft and somewhat side to side & then cut the extensions to the correct length before final welding. I believe they have one for the SN95 cars as well. 180.00 aluminized 220.00 ceramic. and it is a real x pipe no chamber BS.
