Brake cooling duct hose

Which cooling duct hose are you guys running for OTD's? The black or orange. Is the orange worth the price over the black? I know the orange is rated to 600* and the black to 350*. I just like the black over the orange but if it's gonna melt then I'm going orange. Is orange the new black?

I picked up the rotor end cooling pieces from one of the typical suppliers, but the 3" orange hose and bumper mount inlet from Pegasus IIRC. I run a Ranger air dam on the 86 with holes cut for the cooler inlets. Haven't had it out but honestly, didn't have all that much problem with brake heating when I did the one OT event with the car before it went into resto-mod. Was running the typical Cobra brake conversion, Motul 600 and Hawk HPs. Post resto-mod, it has way more power, StopTech 4-piston with 14s and lots more rubber. Can't wait to finish this thing.

I'm going to try and use the foglight holes on my 85. I ordered some rectangular plastic ducts and hose today. I picked up some Kenny brown backing plate ducts a while back

The fog light holes on my 99 are a perfect fit for 2-1/2" shop vac hose. Has been on for years! I have mine tied off at the bottom of the strut with the splash guards removed so no backing plates. Hoses don't have to turn with the wheels like this and just articulate up and down with the suspension.
