MM Bilstein Coilover Assembly Issue

I just purchased front and rear coilovers from maximum motorsports for my 95 mustang. I am having an issue with the assembly of the rear coilover. There is a machined groove in the shock body to hold a retaining ring. The coilover sleeve is supposed to slide over this retaining ring.

My sleeve will not slide over the retaining ring on either shock. It will only rest on top. Has anoyone else encountered this problem. Could the grooved shocks I received from MM not be machined to the correct depth?

take a picture of what the issue is on yours and we can help you out. is the ring completely in the groove? only the shoulder of the threaded sleeve should go over the retaining ring as shown in the attached picture.

I was able to resolve this issue with Maximum Motorsports. Just a slight mix up in parts. They corrected everything quickly.
