Which Bilstein strut? If your talking about Bilstein HD's or the Bilstein's found on the Cobras then NO, that's too much spring for that strut to control adequately. Can it be done, yes. Is it optimum, no.

The only Bilstein strut I know of that can optimally handle a 450lb coil over spring is Maximum Motorsports Bilstein MM3 Race strut.

91 Road Racing Fox. N/A 383W. Full MM setup front and rear with Bilstein coil-overs. 14x1.25 Wilwood 6 piston fronts with Wilwood 13x1 single piston rears.

To much spring for HD's. Read this for matching springs to struts

Damper Selection for Coil-over Springs

And this

http://www.maximummotorsports.com/19...ang-P1018.aspx

Maximum Motorsports recommends HD's to handle a max coil over spring up to 325lbs

Garage
Im on bilstein/MM sports and using 500/400 (too much spring) I know i know, but 900 dollars for race mm3 dampers is going to wait till these things burst.
