Yet another stupid problem.

I bought Tokico D-Spec Struts for my stiffer springs on my Qa1 coil overs. Surprise surprise, they don't fit. The struts are too fat for the 2.5" ID springs to clear. Has anyone had this problem? I am ready to light this car on fire. I research all day long and parts never end up fitting. If someone could shed some light I would be happy. I appreciate the help guys, the car is almost done!

Bob

Tokico struts have a flange at the top of the strut body (where shaft enters) that needs to be removed. http://1985mustanggt.com/Reference/MMCO-2.pdf
