85GT with 95 spindle question

I have a 85GT, with 95 spindles and 03/04 cobra brakes. I'm going to order my shocks and springs soon. I was wondering if i should order 95 length shocks and springs or the fox body stuff? Any one have any exp. with this?

I'v been running the foxbody one on mine for years. Not sure what the difference is.

I have an 86 and run Bilsteins which are the same length for 79-04 using later spindles. With that said, I believe the sn95 struts are longer; shocks are the same. If you want to lower the car, I'd advise using the Fox length struts. Springs should be the same for both. Only difference will be ride height after installation - usually the sn cars are lower due to extra weight.

You may not know this but if you're using the stock 85 k-member, you will lose most if not all of your negative camber when combined with the sn95 spindle (must use 94/95 only). To recover some camber you will need CC plates but that wasn't enough for my car. I had to use the sn95 a-arms too (mine are 04 Mach 1s).

all the research i did, use the fox struts. sn95 chassis struts are around .75 longer so if you lower the car any, they bottom out. I'm running 85K, 98 a arms, and 95 spindles with the car lowered and i've got around 6 degrees total on each side if i chose to use it all. grant it that was with a dry mock up motor. didn't have clutch or fluids. doing a 5 lug swap on any pre 87 car needs the lower Aarms swapped over too.
