(1) Fire your camera man.
(2) Kill the music.
(3) In car footage would be much better.

It's hard to say what's "normal" when it comes to oil use. It's definitely not uncommon to use oil when you're at a track event. Without knowing anything about your car, your engine, how much mileage you put in on track, etc, there's really no way to say whether you should be concerned about 1/2 litre.

That's pretty cool to get to run on an actual F1 track. How did that event work?

'89 GT convertible, N/A 357W, MM front susp w/425# coil-overs and Koni D/As, MM TA/PB rear setup (Koni Yellows, 390-430# springs), Stoptech 332mm / 12" Baers, MM 6 point rollbar, Maier 1.5" flared fenders & quarters, 18x9.5" front/18x10.5" rear Enkei RPF-1s (street), 18x10" CCW C-10s (track), etc...

Well first thank you for the reply, and i did already kill the camera man (hehehe). i will never let him touch a camera again.

Regarding my car it has a stock motor with 135K approx. and i am using castrol edge engine oil

the event is held on the inner circuit of the F1 track (not the full track). it is a 2.55km circuit. we get two 20 min open track practice sessions and then we get two timed runs each of two laps

hope these can give a clear idea of the event
