SC replica wheels and NT05 tires

Figured i'd document these since they both seem kinda new to the scene. Maybe it'll help someone else out.

Hope to have them mounted up this week. The 315's measure tread shoulder to tread shoulder right at 12"

The 9" fronts come exactly flush to the front fenders(using GMS K-member)

THESE ARE CAMERA PHONE PIX, I'M TOO BROKE TO AFFORD A CAMERA AFTER ALL THIS

SC Style 17x9 fronts and 17x10 rears with 275/40 and 315/35 Nitto NT05 tires

Pretty large void area and thick strip in the middle of the 315's

The below is with the spindle pulled TOWARD you(decreasing neg. camber). I can get way enough out of the plates to run like this

Meant to add that the 17x10's DO NOT FIT the fronts WITH COBRA BRAKES. However, the rubbing is so slight on the bulk part of the caliper that it could easily be ground down to work with no issues.

I was going to run 10's on all four corners, but with the K-member kit pushing the wheels out further, the 10's just stick out way too far.

Can't hide money

So you could fit the 10" on the front but it stuck out too much? That sounds familiar for some reason...

They look good, you just need to paint them black

Those big ass grooves in the rear tires, isn't that kind of wasted space that could be rubber contact (traction)?

They're the cheapest replica wheels on the market today....cheaper than the rare COBRA R's.

I would imagine if I still had the OE K-member/arms that it would sit about where the 9's sit now.

No clue, i'm no tire engineer. I imagine it's for water evacuation. Thats a pretty massive hydroplane-prone steam roller of a tire.

That looks great. Are you running stock Cobra brakes or a different big brake kit? I ask because I love these wheels but am not sure they would clear my Brembos. I've searched but it doesn't seem anyone has tried yet.

They're just stock MACH1/Cobra brakes and calipers.

The 9's up front have about a pinky finger width clearance at the closest spot. I don't think you'd have an issue. Even if you did, a couple mm's of grinding in a non-noticeable area would take care of it.

I was honestly surprised the 10's fit as well as they did on the front. I may still end up trying a seperate set of 10's up front for track events. No time soon, i'm broke as a joke and about to choke.

Thats what I was afraid of.....kinda like "Pony wheels" on 94> cars.

I think they look like a Fikse MN5 or whatever they call one of their 5-spoke designs. Only about 300$ less per wheel.

Those wheels look great. They're made by wheelreplicas correct? How did the 10" look when you test fitted them up front? I want 17x10 all around but I think the giant lip would look kind of silly on the front wheels.

The tires are ok but then I always was a Cobra R wheel fan

what I do like are the seats. Are they comfortable? or will they sorta piss you off on a long road trip and make you mad at the world when you arrive at your destination?

I drive the car 2+ hours to and from events....and I have sore/weak back. I think they're comfortable as any other seat. The getting in and out part is the crappy part of it all.

Hey, do you know the offset of those 10" rears? I may need to borrow one just for fitment testing on the front of my car in the near future. I need to know the offset of it though.

I'm in my ####hole hotel in Tupelo Mississippi right now and the wi-fi is teh suk at the moment. I'm trying to find my ghey fender trim somewhere, it's been over a month since it was "out of stock" How long does it take those 9 year old Koreans to make this crap?!?!?!

Anyway, thanks for the link, but those are too narrrow I need a 17X10 or 18X10.5 if I'm going to tuck them under the front. I don't think the 17X10.5 will work, even with these fender trim pieces I'm looking at. And I aint putting those big ass fender flares on my car.

They are too narrow. Damn. Otherwise they'd already be in route to my house. I'd have to paint that lip black too, but I could live with it. I need 4-18X10.5 wheels, lightweight, in solid black, for the same price as these.

See what you can do for me.

So you think cobra r brembos would fit under 17x9s?

Do most people run staggered setups for road racing/lapping?

Probably not. I like the "look" and don't mind the trade off in performance/results.

So how are you liking the setup so far? I've been thinking of possibly running these in 17x10 with 295's at all four corners if I can fit them. If not, I can always go 275's but when I see Miata's running tires that wide, it makes me think I need MOAR....

I think they're great with my limited tire history. Tire wear seems to be pretty good as well. I'll be honest, I haven't been driving it alot....no particular reason just not that much going on around here that I care to partake in.

The 10" rims will hit on your front caliper, so you'll need a small spacer or some grinding disc/wheels. I'd love to do the 10"/295 combo but with the K-member pushing the fronts out just a bit, it border lines on "looking goofy".

You know me, all about LOOKS, and performance after that. I'm not a "true-racer".
