brackets to lower stock seat?

1996 cobra, the minivan seat height is still making me nuts!

Is there someway to bolt on aftermarket seat brackets to the stock seat to lower the seat height? I'll definitely not miss the power seat function.

If you lose the power seat motors on the bottom, it is possible to section out about 1.25" of the height of the seat brackets to lower the seat. This requires a fair amount of welding and some fabrication skills.

Hmm -- perhaps a new line of products from MM is in order, Jack...

Would the Corbeau seat brackets lower the stock seats? I have a set laying around, they are for a Fox tho. I'll look at them and see if they are lower than my stockers.

I have a sotcker I modded the way Jack is talking about that I may part with as I am about to alter a set of Corbeau brackets to be lower.

And JD- The Corbeau brack is as low as my modded stock bracket (almost exactly to the 1/16") So yes, you woudl drop a little over an inch with a corbeau bracket..
