I need to get some different mounts. Are the poly mounts really 50 dollars better then convertible mounts. Car is mostly street driven with probably 6+ autox's and a few track days per season.

Parts-store convertible mounts are terrible thin-gauge Indian-made crap. If you can find some new old stock factory ones, fine, otherwise get Energy Suspension urethanes, which are identical to the Convertible mount dimensions. I have them in my car with no complaints.

It's been a very long time since I bought any. Are the convertible mounts still available through the dealerships?

PPI has an option for $80: http://www.performancepartsinc.com/engine.htm - about a quarter of the way down the page.

Thanks all. I got a set of prothanes coming tomorrow. The rest of my poly bushings are the same brand.

The Prothanes are not the same style as the Convertible mounts. They're the old hardtop style, which is not fully captured and which sits the engine about an inch higher.

Good to know. Oh well, got them for 60 dollars, so they will have to do, I guess.
