Ok guys so I drove the car 7 hours from TN to Fort Mill SC the day after the car started. Pro-Dyno tuned the car this morning and the car made 445rwhp and 430rwtq @ 9lbs of boost in 94 degree heat.
I have a couple exhaust leaks I gotta track down and fix when I get back from Mustang Week next week but other then that I am happy and just have some minor things I need to work on to get her perfect.
Thanks guys, I have v-band gaskets in all my hotside already so I may have to have a couple of the pipes modified to fit a little better and not open up the gaps.
And yes Pro-Dyno is some great people. Dan the tuner helped me out all week getting my car started while the shop was closed and he was on vacation. I highly recommend them to anyone. Very stand up shop.
I want to ask. why would you even consider getting the car tuned when everything wasnt set? If you are losing exhaust because of an leak, and you do fix the leak its going to effect your tune....
I needed to get the car tuned as soon as I could, the leaks weren't real bad during the tune, when he pulled the car off the dyno the y pipe hit and caused the bad leak, the tune shouldn't be affected much by the small leak I had during the tune
are you going to be at the track thursday with the car? We are going out to the drag race event thursday and then to the hooters deal Friday. Ill try and find you if you were going to be at either of those events. Ill have my green 2v down there with us driving around
Wow, I have worried about that same thing on my notch with the fiberglass hood. Didnt want to run pins but really dont want that same thing happening either. Sorry to hear that
We looked around all 3 days down there and didnt see the car, hopefully the body damage isnt too bad.
Yeah I had already decided to get hood pins when I got back home but apparently I was a little too late, my new hood will be getting them asap.
Damage is estimated to be about $3500 but we will see what happens
The car was really only there saturday, I saw your green car at the drag strip and I saw you leaving the mall friday but that was it lol, hopefully next time the trip will go a little bit better
Speaking of the mall, I took it fairly easy leaving there and had no idea there was that cop in the median. Did you see him pull that red early model Mustang over in front of me? I saw him swinging out and thought I was done nailed but ended up pulling over the other guy
Haha yeah chad I saw the cop pull out, but you got lucky. Your car sounded good leaving too.
I have always taken off when I leave in the past but I didn't this year bc more cops and I almost got nailed last year leaving haha. Glad you didn't get nailed though
Yeah im happy with the numbers, i thought i would hit that number at 8lbs but im still happy. those numbers are only up to 6k and i plan on shifting around 6300. Dan was a huge help and i would recommend him to anyone
I drove past there I think it was later saturday night maybe around 9-930 and they still had cars on the dyno. Those guys had cars going non-stop everytime I saw them, the track and hooters both days we were there
Well worth the money, I would recommend the kit to anyone looking to get started but can't afford a more expensive kit
