Just took the car out for the first time since the turbo install and had soem spiritied drivign but not much and the car got up to about 210, I currently am running the 93 cobra radiator and ramcharger fan.

What is everyone else running?

I still cant keep this car cool

I put the big summit radiator and the mark 8 fan.. took it on a 20 mile drive mix between stop and go and cruisign speeds 45+ and it got to 210...
Its too hot for my tastes and I know once I start flogging it its gonna get too hot and overheat.

I havent replaced the airdam yet

What waterpump pulley are you using? Do you have underdrive pulleys?

On my 89 I just have a Ron Davis replacement with a taurus fan and a 5" thick intercooler in front of it. I've sat in the huge Car Craft show traffic (with temps in the mid to upper 90's) and my car only will creep up to 195. I don't have an air dam on my car either.

Stock radiator here, black magic electric fan. Deflector in place, soon to have a 93 cobra grille and cowl installed for more airflow, but stock radiator is sufficient. Temps ranging from 195 to 215 degrees are within spec.

I just got my Mark 8 fan and DCC controller installed. Man, what a difference. The combination is awesome. Holds the temp between 180 - 185. Doesn't matter if I am sitting in traffic, cruising, or WOT!

I run a stock rad, stock W/P, sn-95 ele fan, runs about 180-185. sometimes on a hot summer day and a few hrs of drive time it will hit 190.

hot summer days in Ohio dont compare to a FL spring day tho lol

do you have everything wraped with header wrap or just the turbo blanket??

I know it is probably a stupid question, but are your headgaskets installed backwards (coolant ports at the wrong end)?

I also run 210 or hotter as well and I am still supercharged, Im really worried when I switch over to the turbo that it run real hot. Im running a 3 core aluminum rad with two 12" universal electric fans, stock wp, royal purple additive and probably 75% water to 25% coolant. I think maybe those fans are not moving enough air but it also runs that hot at 65mph. Does anyone know if the stock fan shroud and fan will clear the turbo piping?

My car was running crazy hot with addition of the hp turbo kit. Cooling system was Black Magic Extreme fan, griffin 2 row radiator, standard rotation water pump and 180* thermostat. I would run right around 195 to 200 if I never got on it. If I beat on it at all it was game over. Temps would climb to 220 and wouldnt cool off until about 10 miles of highway driving. I had the lower deflector and even the forgetten side deflectors. I had my radiator cleaned and checked with no help. After much disscusion with radiator manufactures I decided to go with a new radiator. I ordered the 31" Ron Davis radiator and let me tell you what, top quality, and by far some of the nicest guys and most helpfull Ive ever delt with. Im assuming that with the more fins per inch and the fan not covering as much of the radiator Im not getting enough air flow at slow speeds. It still wants to get warm sitting in traffic, but, as soon as you get on the highway..... DAMN. In less than 3 miles the thing dropped from 225 to 190! Now as long as Im moving I can beat the snot out of the car in 90* weather and temps never get above 195* I have a mark 8 fan but Im waiting to save up some cash to get a shroud built for it to cover the whole radiator. At least the car is driveable without having to constantly watch the temp gauge. And I can have fun with it. :leghump:
