Weather station, who uses one?

I'm trying to research "weather stations" to see if the return is worth the investment. Most I've seen are quite pricey. What are your thoughts on them and/or experiences? Is there a basic list of variables besides temp, humidity and barometric pressure that I should be logging? Any calculations I can use to help nail my "dial ins" by plugging in the "critical" variables? I know the more data collected the better, but what/how to deal with it is where I'm stumped. Dial in and reaction time , along with consistent traction are keys to "winning" races. Traction and reaction time are things I can physically work on to improve, inconsistency due to fluctuating weather isn't. There has to be some kind of "math" to get it right.

I currently use a skymate handheld, similar to the Kestrel. I am planning to purchase one with the ET predictor for next season. I am looking at Altronics, Tag and now the Race airpro. I have spoken to a few racers that have the tag brand and it is surprising how accurate the predictions are. You actually log your runs into the unit and it does the calculating for you.
