here are a few vids from friday night at thunder valley in noble,ok.
this is my buddys car that i have been tuning for him.
remember this is a 3200lb 89 gt with stock block, stock crank, stock rods, dss pistons, iron gt-40 heads, 650 mighty demon, tko 600, 3.73's, 26x10's, and the 200 pills. leavin at 6 grand!!!!!
WOW, that things loves the bottle then picked up around 250 hp to the wheels on the calc ? are you sure you got the right jets in there, i have seen nitrous kits make advertised hp to the wheels but dam !...... flyin nun the less great job on the tune.
Well i was gonna post more vids including the motor pass but apparently I haven't been on here long enough to do that. Even though I have been on here since 2003. How long do you have to be on here to post URLs? 10 years?
Whats the compression ur makeing? What size gasket are the heads ported too.. ? And most importantly what, how much timeing are you pulling? How much R U running total?? What spark plugs are u running? Thanks Alot in advance.. Im fixing too tune a combo out pretty close too this, except with a pos AOD.. lol!! Na.. Its a nice tranny.. Just Not a TKO 600!!
AnyWays Kudo's man, awesome #'s.. Im looking for 10.80's thru this little 3200lb AOD car on M/T Radials..
I guessed about 10:1 on compression. I did the port work which consisted of basically taking it just far enough to get past the casting lines on the intake and exhaust runners and taking the smog bumps away. First and only time I have ever ported heads. 1.94 int. 1.60 exh. valves. About 25 degrees total on timing. NGK-TR6 plugs. Zex perimeter plate
I have no problem telling people what I use or what I've done. If someone wants to do something cause they liked the way I did it then I take it as a compliment.
an what do u gap the NGK's @... about .035" or more? Did u have any Piston Valve clearance issues??
I have a pretty close combo.. I took my GT-40's up too a Felpro-1262 gasket, w/Fierra stainless 1.94's.. gonna match the RPM Airgap also.. A little smaller camshaft bout .528" intake & ..536 exhaust w a 1.7 RR.. about 10.3 to 1 ...An the all mighty NX Giggle Gas!
.028" Too much gap and the nitrous will blow the spark out.
I was floating valves a little bit with my old springs so I pulled the heads off and there was marks on all the pistons. I just smoothed them out with a dremel and got better springs. My heads were milled a little before I got them. One thing I did also was have the intake milled so the runners would line up perfect. The little details add up.
With the first bottle I sprayed it twice on 200 and weighed it when I got home and there was 5 lbs left in a 10 lb bottle so I'd say you could get three passes on 200. I was keeping it around 1025-1050psi
is the 12.70 @ 106.00 pass on the nitrous tune because i think the car has alot more in it on motor because that thing is picking up to much on the bottle !
No that was with 35 degrees timing. It just bogs bad and its not geared for motor. I don't even use fourth usually on the motor.
