this is an all street driven car and some very little track time. it will tfs twisted wedge heads and a b31 cam. i am gonna order a hot side kit and fab up the rest myself. i want to have 500 to 550 horse and be very streetable. what turbo do you think i need thsanks for any input. this is a 5 speed notch if it makes a difference.
T70 with that motor will make more then 500 at the wheel assuming the engine is tune and built well.
I had a T70 and had nothing but good thing from it and had full boost at 3k in a 302.
I would say a s400, That is what i got for my 351w its not running yet but I have heard nothing but good things about them. The one I have has a 1.10 exhaust housing on it, i think the 1.32 might be a little on the big side for a 357w.
btw: I found it was going to be easier to install twin T3/T4's 60mm
with twin 2.5" down pipes then trying to squeeze a 3.5" down pipe
and one big turbo in there. Cost is same too.
T70 with a 0.96 or bigger (if available) would be a good option. He's looking for something for mostly street and it will have fast spool unlike the larger turbo but the t70 won't give you as much room to grow. The T70 is good for 700hp with is more then his present goal.
I'm using a MP T-70 with a .96 exhaust on my 363ci motor at 9lbs of boost. Made 519rwhp and 576rwtq on a dynojet. More than enough to slip my upgraded clutch...:crying: Full boost seems to come on around 3,700rpm.
thanks for all the great input. i looked up prices for a masterpower i am thinking of going that route. i wanna stay away from twins.
