how many inches do i need after my maf, of straight pipe, ive got about 12 inches in front with my bov in the middle, the reason i ask is because right after my 3 " pmas i have a 90 silicon that hooks in the fender and goes to the tb, is this going to be a problem thanks, it is a blow thru
Not entirely true. You need some space between the MAF and the throttle body so you don't encounter backwash on shifts or when the throttle is closed suddenly, though the area in front of the MAF is more important for smooth flow on acceleration.
On my TTv6, I've got about 9" in front of the MAF, and 4" behind the MAF of straight pipe - and it reads pretty smooth My first turbo kit had much less optimal pipe routing, and it sampled like crap.
