Just trying to see if anyone from Maryland can point me in the right direction getting some paint and bodywork done. I live in the Harford County area.

Well that makes at least 3 of us. I'd like to do some paintwork on my 97 Cobra at some point and don't have a clue where to go.

Bill Denny's Carstar in Havre De Grace does some of the best work in the area but they are expensive.

My friend was rear-ended by an F150 doing 45 mph. It was almost totalled but they decided to fix it. Carstar replaced the rear subfame, roof, floorpan, trunk floor, trunk, and both quarters. I went with him to pick it up and the paintwork and body gaps were absolutely perfect.

Dealerships generaly don't like custom body and paint work. I know Calvin though so I'll give him a shout.

Hey I missed all these replies. I am in the White Marsh area myself. I found a shop in Rosedale that will be doing the paint and body, but thanks for all the input.

Dreamworks Auto Performance

Ha! Just a month and a half a go I heard great stuff about Michael Mack Jr of Mack Auto body. Stopped by and discussed how I wanted the car painted and ghost flames done. While I am prepping the car for paint I called to schedule a paint time, and it turns out Michael Mack Jr and Sr have sold the shop to Aaron. Having never seen Aarons work I started asking around before I would let him paint my car. Turns out he is locally know for about 12 years. Bob of Advance Automotive Concepts say that he has seen Aarons work for the last 4 years and has never been disappointed. I talked to Aaron and feel is a very straight forward and I am going to have him do my paint within the month if the weather clears up. If you can wait, I will be glad to let you see his work once he is done. BTW, If you want to see the car before and after paint, PM me. Right now he says he has 10 cars waiting, so he is trying to hire some help. I hope his help is as good as he is.

Dave saw your car on the trailer today @ Aarons. I also saw some of the work that he has been doing and it looked real good. BTW loved your subframes !!!

Should have my car in 2 weeks. Stay tuned !!!!

Finally got the car back last weekend after almost 3 months. Need I really say more.

As far as the job the paint did come out really good, the bodywork came out decently good as well.

Based on his attention to detail (which IMO was poor, car has primer overspray in the engine bay, and in other areas that I will need to clean up), his timelyness of getting the job done (as you can see I was told 2 week on 4-20-07, and then it took almost another 2 months, poor communication with customers, and the ruining of some interior and exterior parts of my car.

This would be one shop that you are better off pasing by. Also they decided to keep my floor mats, blow the fuses for my mirrors, not poperly put my turn signal blub back in, so my ride home was fun with no radio, turn signal, or ability to adjust my mirrors. Also must have wet down my engine bay enough to cause a pool of water in my fuel pump relay which ended up tripping and shorting out. (lucky there was no fire).

I will provide pics once I get the car back together to the point where pictures are worth my time.
