Best Car Bra - Need One Quick For Roadtrip

I've heard the two best are Colgan and PerfectFit http://www.carbras.com/perfectfit/

I'm heading on a roadtrip on Sunday from DC to Atlanta and since I just got my car repainted with the new cobra nose on it I want to put a bra on it. Anyone ever bought the perfectfit one? It's $89 and can ship immediately. The only place I have found the Colgan (same price) is at http://www.autoanything.com and it is a 1 to 3 week shipping lead time.

I have had one on my GT nose since I got it new and it really does save the front end. It's a pain to have to take it off to wash out sand and gravel in the winter mo. but I really think they do a good job of protecting the car.

Any info would be appreciated.

I had one from Ford. Not sure how much it cost it was a birthday present a few years ago. It fit good; but it did get dirt between the bra and the car and scratched the car. However it did catch a nice rock and save my hood. Cut the bra all to crap and back though. Good luck.

Call Colgan Custom @ 800-447-2727 or check with www.carcarcover.com phone 800-423-5525

I have the Colgan, use for highway. Not all the time but then my car is not a daily.

I went with a clear bra - which is actually a thick clear film applied much like window film to the painted surface of the nose. It is hardly noticable and you don't have to worry about gravel between the standard bra.

Hey Xtreme,

Where did you get the film from and what exactly did you cover with it? I just got my Mystic repainted and want to protect the front end.

Most of your window tint installers will do it. I covered an 02 black mustang - 12" of the hood and fender. It cost about $130 and looks real nice. I know of 3 other cars that have had it for some time and they look real nice also.

I bought my bra from the Ford accessories catalog. Of course it fits perfectly. The piece that covers the front of the hood has a nice " Mustang GT" logo in the corner. I think it was $115.

Well, I just ordered up one from Colgan. BadSnke98, thanks for the phone #. They have it in stock and are shipping it to me by Friday for $130. I appreciate everyone's feedback on such a technical subject! ;) Just want to protect my baby.

That clear stuff seems like a good idea but with my silver car, I actually don't mind the black bra on it much.

Thanks again guys.
