I'm about to switch to a Holley EFI system. I'm a Mac guy so I'm going to have to pick up a PC laptop for tuning. Just curious if there is one you prefer. Any particular operating system, screen size etc?

I gave up on Windows a long time ago and switched to Mac. From what I've seen I don't like the newer operating systems lol

I know extended battery life would be a plus.

Just curious what everyone prefers.

you can find great deals on craigslist or ebay

once you get it remove everything but the necessary requirements and use it simply for tuning and nothing else

i had a small dell mini notebook with my pms which was great as it was always in the car

now runnign pro-m and got a bigger unit as i no longer have the need to data log 80 hours/week ;)

I bought an HP Stream to do homework on and it works great with my QH. It fits between my gut and the steering wheel while I drive. Only thing I'd change is that had I known how hard it is to operate the touch pad AND the car, I'd have bought the capacitive screen version.

I like the dell xps12 which is touchscreen and does this hinge screen flip thing to alter between tablet and laptop layouts. The battery life is fantastic with an ssd and it's goldilocks in size IMO.
