Hello All!, I'm currently building a 84 Mustang SVO with full Griggs GR40 street suspension and Saleen SC style, 4-piston Baer/Alcon brakes up front. Found out tonight that my 17x8 S197 GT premium wheels don't fit over the huge calipers by a long shot.
Does anyone have any experience with these and what wheels will work for this fitment/application?
Just thought I'd share what I found... The 17" Cobra R's for the 1995 Mustang fit nicely. The Tri-spoke 17" fits in diameter, but requires a spacer to push it out a bit from the caliper face. 17 x 9 Enkei RPF1's are ideal in that they will fit even over 14" brakes and are extremely lightweight.
