Looking to see if anyone has bought and tried the On3 performance chip for their fox body. I just got my turbo kit put together and up and running. I called my local tuners and they will not tune the car unless I have a Anderson Ford PMS or some type of processor. I've dumped in close to 5 grand in the car this year and can not afford to spend another 1000 for a PMS pus tuning cost. Was considering buying the base tune chip from On3, just to crews around in the streets till I re-coop more money.

I'd find a new tuner. If you buy the On3 tune/chip you will likely still need to take it to a tuner that uses that brand chip to get it fine tuned for your car.

There is a member here that has a dyno/tune shop in STL, I think his screen name is bobcat. IIRC he's done several On3 cars on here. Might be worth looking him up.

Bobcat would be your best bet, and he is in your area(kinda). Send him a PM on here. He also owns Stlmustangs.com, and that site is full of poeple that say nothing but good things about him and his work.
He has installed ALOT of on3 kits.
Do yourself a favor and get it properly tuned to start with.

Get a PMS,wideband, and datalogging software and tune it yourself.... Thats what I did and it was easier than expected and now i can do anything I want to the car and make the alterations to the tune myself.

Best money I ever spent.

yep get the stuff to tune it yourself.......Not to say there are some great tuners out there, but I would rather do it myself that way later on when getting better heads, block, more cubes ect your not stuck doing it all over again. I dont have 800.00 to spend every time I decide I want to put better crap on my motor. Not to mention Im going to be the person blowing it up not some person that dont really care about romping the crap out of it on the dyno. I just like to be in control of my own crap.......
