What would RELIABLY support 600 rwhp?

If you were to build a single-turbo setup, what size turbocharger would you select for a goal of say -- around 600whp?

The car is going to have a moderately sized engine (347 c.i.d. / 4.125'' bore x 3.25'' stroke) and I'm going to target my static compression ratio around an even 9.0 to 1. The car will be driven 95% of the time on the street, so I would like it to come on relatively quick.....

I was thinking somewhere in the neighborhood of a 76-88mm turbo. CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG. I don't really have any experience with this kinda thing.

Also, where can I find something around that size for a REASONABLE PRICE, or is that even possible lol?

Go buy Maximum Boost off of Amazon. All the formulas, with explanations anyone can understand, on how to properly size your turbo based on a multitude of factors. I am sure the information that is presented above is correct but this may answer many questions for you that will come up in the future with your turbo setup. The book is dated with the cars in it, but the science has not changed!

Really no need to buy that book for that information because if you search online you can get all the information for free. Why even bother trying to size it when you could just call the very places that sell/build the turbos and have an expert in that arena size one for you? Things are changing all the time for turbos and sometimes hard to know what would be the best option for your goal.

A T76 would be a little to the right of the middle of its efficiency island at that power level (assuming 70lb/min flow and 15 PSI to get that power), but would work well.

A T88 would be theoretically better from an efficiency standpoint, but a T76 would probably be more practical (spool much sooner).

I would say a Master Power T70 would be in it's efficiency at 600 flywheel hp and at around $550 it's a super deal!

Which is a correct statement, but the poster asked for 600whp (not flywheel), which would be well to the right of the middle of the MP T70's eff. island.

I'm running a 66mm and could get 600 rwhp on pump gas with just a little more boost if i wanted more power. I gotta go on the dyno again with some changes i've done, I might be pushing closer to 600 at the wheels already.

Std pump ?? around 300 h.p and that would be unhealthy..
The fuel rails are ok up to 500 h.p, not that the std injectors would...
I wouldn't try with std std pump.. They are easier to change than engines!!!

I assume you are using an aftermarket block with the 4."125" bore ??
With reasonable induction ?? A T70 size would do it easy....
