Well I'm always asking the question which would be better more timing or more boost. For the most part it is more boost. Hands down! But has anyone tuned their car hit the dyno for the numbers then back out the timing a degree or 2. Just to see what the difference that degree or 2 of timing really makes. As always all the car will be different. But I haven't had a chance to do this so I'm courious to some of the answers.
When I dynoed my car we had it @ 21 degrees total timming It made 400rwhp/505rwtq, we then added 2 degrees of timming and it made 430hp/527tq. I was really surprised, so was everyone else @ the dyno session.
It was all done through the magic of computers I had a custom chip burned for my car, he just added a couple of degrees (23 total). You can do it by pulling the spout out but you might have "tip-in" detination problems.
