New to the forum... definitely going to need help (*in more ways than one)

Hey guys and gals...
I have been on and off this forum, mostly as a spectator but now I have another Mustang (I haven't had one for years now) and I'm back! Over the years I started with a four-eyed '83 GT in high school, later a '96 GT as my first car post grad school, and my first new car purchase a 2002 GT triple black vert that I gave up years ago.

Anyway, I recently acquired a black 1993 Fox LX 5.0 hatch that has a severe engine knock for a price I could not refuse. That being said, I will be needing EVERYONE's help on this as I am not mechanically inclined. I'm physically disabled due to a broken spine in the line of duty, but my buddy has offered up to help be my hands to get "Project Beater 5 liter" rolling. We both are novices with the wrenches (me more than him) but we are excited to have something to work on.

That being said, what I am aware of about the car is the following:

B303 Cam (*I know... I've read ancient)
Trick Flow Intake
Edelbrock 70mm Throttle Body
BBK Power Plus thingie that attaches to the Throttle Body
3 setting BAMA chip
373 rear gear
H-pipe with flow masters
hardened push rods and guide plates on a 7E heads
Adjustable clutch cable
5-lug conversion
BBK Headers

All with a TREMENDOUS knock... I look forward to all your input and help in resolving the fox issues! Thanks so much.

Welcome. Is it a rod knock? And are you guys planning to tear it down to find the cause?
