Just guaging interest..Blk 85 t-top

Well, like the title says, just guaging a little interest here. May be almost time to purchase a ring for the old lady soon and looking to see what I could get for the 85. Here's some info on the car:

1)Black (needs a paint job - but the car is straight, also, crack in rear bumper cover - will need a new one)
2)Gray interior which previous owner started to dye black. He appeared to do the center console, headliner, top dash pad, and door panels. Not really my thing, I was going to bring it all back original.
3)T-tops are in good shape but do leak a little if water is directed straight at them (i.e. with a hose)
4)Has a cowl hood which is relatively small (I'd say maybe 2 inch..maybe 2.5)
5)Has very clean 10 holes with brand new tires
6)Motor shows 69,000 on the odometer, which I'm assuming is 169,000. Previous owner said the gentleman he brought it from said it was the original motor, but the motor looks like it has been out before cause it's painted ford blue and it has very good oil pressure.
7)Mods are edelbrock carb, edelbrock performer rpm intake, shorty headers, h-pipe, flowmasters, 3.73's, subframe connectors, southside bars, holley blue pump, msd 6AL box
8)I've replaced the starter, put a new optima red top battery in it, replaced the water pump with a BRAND NEW unit from Ford along with new bolts, and replaced the starter solenoid as well.
9)Car is a 5speed with a smooth shifting tranny - no problems

The car runs great and is very dependable for daily driving. It really pains me to have to part with it, but I can't afford to give it the paint job it needs and I really don't want to give it a cheap paint job. At the same time, I'm trying to save for a ring, so it's kinda difficult as I'm sure some of you have gone through the same situation. Again, I'm just guaging some interest here, not 100% I'm going to sell. Thanks for your time!

Probably around 3,500 - it does need paint, though. Thanks for the compliment.

if you have some, can you send me some more pics of the car to [email protected]. I would like to see some pics of the interior and engine compartment. Any accidents that you know of? Tx.

I would buy that car in a heartbeat. I have always wanted an 85 T top to go with my 91 GT. Maybe in six months I can, but right now the time is not right.

You say it needs paint, in the pics it looks good. What is wrong with the body and paint? And anything else mechanically needs fixed.

Actually, I say that the car needs paint, but it really just needs the roof and the top of the fenders painted. The rest of the car still shines up good when I wax it. Those are the only two problem areas that have surface rust. Also, the car does not have any door dings or scratches...it is surprisingly straight given its age. As far as mechanical condition, the car has excellent oil pressure and has been used daily for the last 2 years I've owned it. I've replaced things such as alternator, starter, battery, water pump, fuel pump, etc... The car just needs a little tlc in the interior and those spots I mentioned on the exterior.

Let me know if you have any other questions! Thanks!
