1985 GT lots of new
Pretty much lost interest and time to play with. I bought this car 5 years ago, brought it home and took it apart. It was originally black with gray interior. I put no more than 200 miles on it. The car was very solid to start with, but I was not happy with it. Here's whats been done.
stripped to bare metal and refinished in PPG dark shadow gray metallic (ford paint code CX)
Both doors replaced due to scabs on the originals.
Southside subframe connectors welded in.
New carpet in hatch and cockpit.
New aftermarket dashpad.
Kenwood eXcelon cd player.
Infinity dash speakers
Polk rear speakers
Amplified Bazooka tube. (stereo sounds good, not ghetto)
89 Mustang GT seats (spotless front and rear)
Wieand Stealth intake
AED 650 double pumper
8.8 rear with 4.10's (all new bearings and traction lok has new clutches)
16 inch Pony wheels, all repainted original argent
new Kuhno 711 245/50/16's
Mac Shorties, off road Hpipe and Cat back
double hump cross member
New front struts
Cap, rotor, plugs and wires. (all Ford, Wires are motorsport 9mm) 0 miles on all.
New fan shroud
B and M ripper shifter
Star Spec 3 clutch, pressure plate and flywheel
87 and up LX tail lights
87 and uo GT spoiler
Motorsport 10.5 flywheel
Cruise removed and has 3 spoke non cruise wheel (yeah, the cool one)
Car is a original non-ac car.
I bought the car from the second owner, who was an older man. He told me that the engine has been rebuilt. What that consisted of I really don't know. Engine is quiet, does not smoke and runs smooth. I know that block and heads were painted, so something was done. (maybe just paint, but that's something!) He also told me that the car was never wrecked, but he bumped the right fender with his tractor, when we stripped it, that was true and there was no additional damage, so I assume he was honest about everything else. The odometer shows 72,xxx and the speedo cable went bad this summer. I drove the car at most 50 miles since. I have the new cable, just no time to install. I have pictures or the paint work as it was taking place, available upon request.
The car still needs some interior assembly, just no time. I also have the hood decal, which has not been installed yet. The paint looks really good and I'm pretty picky. It is not a perfect show car, but it is a great solid car that would make a great toy. Please make me a reasonable offer.
